Hi: This was a talk I went to today. Really interesting. Dr. Ismail talked about his own experience and emphasized how inhumane the current Israeli embargo on Palestinian territories is. He was a part of the only US relief group to go to the Gaza strip, and his US team was one of the only not supported by their nation.
He recommended the book by Jimmy Carter: "Palestine: Peace not Aparthied".

Before this talk I really didn't know a lot about the Palestinian/Israeli conflict -- it really opened my eyes to the injustices that are occurring that we aren't aware of (at least I wasn't).Thanks for reading, Shannon
